Engineering is the key to innovation. By understanding e.g. the stress distribution at a strengthening rib inside a bushing as a function of hydrostatical pressure and embedding conditions it is possible to design the best possible solution.
Umicore has evolved to a specialist in advanced simulation methods and mathematical model calculations and offers various degrees of engineering: from simply adapting an existing design up to applying innovative new designs, and hence providing our own solution.
