Smart Bushing Solutions: Advanced Materials
A significant asset: our FKS material - a superior ODS material with unique properties for high-temperature applications. Nano-sized dispersoids do stabilize the alloy's grain boundaries by a unique and very homogeneous particle distribution. Even at highest stress FKS materials do not show any sagging and hence substantially enhance the lifetime of a bushing.
The pictures below show one of the most striking problems in glass fiber production processes: the phenomenon of sagging. The example on the left shows a cast PtRh20 base-plate after 12 months in operation. In contrast to these conventional bushings the picture on the right shows a bushing base-plate made of our FKS material: FKS PtRh10 after 12 months in operation under identical conditions.
